'Heroes' May Return, But Not As We Know It
Cast confirms finale is being treated as a season ender
The ratings are at an all-time low and a lot of fans may already have given up hope for "Heroes." But there could still be a future in the show just yet.
As previously reported last week, some of the cast for the NBC super series are confident the show will be back for more ... only the format will change.
The funny thing about the ['Heroes'] world is that there are so many possibilities," said James Kyson Lee, who plays Ando. "It could be us, it could be the next generation of heroes, maybe well come back older : it's endless. So let's keep it going and I feel there are more stories."
There has already been some interesting hints from the network itself that the show could return in some form next year, however, whether or not it happens remains to be seen. Why? Because televised entertainment is no longer limited to the television, and that makes life a little harder when it comes to number crunching.
"It's very hard to tell, it's a tricky slippery business figuring out exactly how many viewers you're reaching and who's getting the advertising 'cause there's a million ways to watch it now," explained Jack Coleman, who plays Noah Bennet in the series. I think there's a lot more life in it, I think it would be a shame to end it now and I think the show should be wrapped up one way or another. I think there are more stories to tell.
