Mark Sheppard Returns To 'Supernatural'
Demon hopes to prevent Lucifer from destroying his race
Caught between the devil's wrath and humanity's pestilence, actor Mark A. Sheppard's demonic character Crowley will return to The CW's "Supernatural" this season to mesh his own unique agenda with the Winchester boys.
Last seen in the Season 5 episode "Abandon All Hope," Crowley wants Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) destroyed because he believes that eventually Lucifer will turn on the demons after humanity's fall. Consequently, Crowley is back for an unholy alliance.
Returning to "Supernatural" was an attractive prospect for Sheppard, who finds his character's demonic nature a fascinating concept.
"I love the idea that theres not an ounce of fear, not one iota of fear at all," Sheppard said in an interview with iFMAGAZINE. "Theres that great moment when Im in my office and Sam [played by Jared Padalecki] pulls the gun. He puts it to my forehead, Im sitting there with Jared, the guns to my forehead, he pulls the trigger and Im, 'You need some more ammunition for that.'
