NBC Casts 'ER' Vet In Superhero Pilot
If developed, series will be the opposite of 'Heroes'
What made "Heroes" special was that it focused on the lives and inner struggles of the central cast as they discover they have super human abilities.
Aside from some comic book art, there were none of the staples of the comic book sub-genre; no capes, tights or wearing underwear as outerwear. Now though, NBC is taking the opposite approach in its latest pilot, "The Cape."
The show, which has been given a pilot order, revolves around the exploits of a disgraced cop named Vince Faraday. In order to clear his name, Faraday dons a cape and goes out into the streets as a comic book-style crime fighter. During his adventures, he will also struggle with his own personal troubles as he searches for a way to be reunited with his son.
