'Numbers' Star Can't Hide From The Truth
Rob Morrow signs up for new Jerry Bruckheimer pilot
"Numbers'" days are, well, numbered ... especially now that cast are jumping ship and lining up jobs for the 2010-11 season.
Rob Morrow, who plays Don Eppes on the crime busting series, has now signed on to become the lead in the new Jerry Bruckheimer pilot "The Whole Truth." His casting marks the second "Numbers" name to move on from the series which is not expected to return for another season as David Krumholtz has joined the cast of Ron Howard's IRS pilot.
Of course, if "Numbers" does make a surprise return, both Morrow and Krumholtz will have to return due to contract obligations. However, reports from network insiders indicates that there is virtually no chance the series will return, especially after CBS slashed the shows episode count at the end of 2009.
Since its debut in 2005, "Numbers" has been considered the cornerstone of CBS' Friday night line-up, however in its sixth season saw a ratings drop from approx. 10.2 million viewers to 7.9 million. The series is expected to wrap for good after its sixteenth episode this season.
This news comes amist of a number of other casting announcements for the latest pilot run by the networks, including the casting of former "Heroes" star, Sendhil Ramamurthy's addition to the cast of USA's "Covert Affairs."
"Numbers" airs Fridays at 10 p.m. on CBS.
