'Glee' Continues To Be An International Success
Series ratings continue to grow in the United Kingdom
Don't stop believing, 'cause "Glee" is continuing to impress.
The all singing, all dancing comedy-drama may be on hiatus in the United States but the tenth episode of the series, "Ballad," brought in more viewers than previous weeks and also became the most watched television show across all the multi-channel stations.
Although it may not sound like much when compared to the Fox ratings, the episode was viewed by 1.25 million viewers, being watched by approx. 5.2% of television viewers. This broke the shows previously high record of 1.21 million (held by the episode "Vitamin D").
Also to its credit, the first volume of the "Glee" soundtrack deposed Lady Gaga from her No. 1 spot on the UK album charts, and the second album is yet to be released. The number of people purchasing the album is expected to be higher than initial estimates as many online vendors, such as iTunes and Amazon, were already selling the American-release copy of both albums prior to the series event broadcasting.
"Glee" is set to return to Fox on April 13.
