'Caprica' Guest Star Cast In Quirky Sci-Fi Indie Film

Richard Harmon looks to try something almost different

Joseph Adama's clumsiness got his character booted out of New Cap City on "Caprica," but Richard Harmon has no plans on leaving the genre anytime soon.

Harmon, who played Heracles in a three-episode stint on Syfy's "Battlestar Galactica" spinoff last month, has been cast in the independent film "Judas Kiss," according to gay-themed science-fiction site DoorQ. Harmon, 18, will play Danny Reyes, a gay film student who attends a university "at the crossroads of parallel timelines." There he will be caught in a "tug of war between a tortured past and a troubling future."

The film, which is scheduled to be shot in late summer in Seattle, is directed by J.T. Tepnapa and written by Carlos Pedraza. Tepnapa is an actor and a director, probably best known to genre fans in his stint playing Hikaru Sulu in the fan-produced "Star Trek: New Voyages." He's also directed nearly a dozen smaller projects, according to his Internet Movie Database profile.

Pedraza also comes from "New Voyages," adapting David Gerrold's "Blood and Fire" script to the online series. Both also were involved in "Star Trek: Hidden Frontier," another fan-produced Star Trek series.
