'Glee' To Do 'The Time Warp'
'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' tribute episode to air Oct. 26 on Fox; original movie cast members Meatloaf, Barry Bostwick will star
With a week left before its Season 2 premiere, "Glee" is doing "The Time Warp." Again.
The hit Fox series will feature a "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" tribute episode Oct. 26, according to E! Online. Original 1975 movie cast members Meatloaf (Eddie, ex-delivery boy) and Barry Bostwick (Brad Majors) will be featured in the episode, although perhaps not in expected roles. While the "Glee" kids will be performing their "Rocky Horror" reproduction onstage, Bostwick and Meatloaf will be appearing as television station managers with an interesting proposal for Jane Lynchs Sue Sylvester.
"Rocky Horror" fans are sure to miss several cast members not currently scheduled to appear -- most notably the iconic Dr. Frank-N-Furter himself, Tim Curry. However, People magazine reports that Susan Sarandon (Janet Weiss) hasnt ruled out the idea of joining her cast mates if asked.
This isnt the first tribute episode already scheduled for "Glees" sophomore season. A previously announced episode will pay homage to Britney Spears. Creator Ryan Murphy has also hinted at the possibility of a Beatles-themed episode.
In non-Transylvanian "Glee" news, Billboard reports that star Matthew Morrisons debut CD will be released in February. Having spent part of the hiatus working on the album, Morrison says that he is now splitting his time between filming the show and finishing his CD.
"Glees" season premiere will air Sept. 21 on Fox. Later that week, check out the "Glee" kidscartoon versions on the Sept. 26 episode of Foxs "The Simpsons."
