'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' Back With D'Onofrio
Also, cast additions for 'Law & Order: Los Angeles,' 'Hawaii 5-0'
There had been rumors that USA Network would pick up "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" for Season 10, despite the departure of Jeff Goldblum. Today those rumors were confirmed, and with a surprising cast.
Not only will "Criminal Intent" be back for another season, it will be back with original lead Vincent D'Onofrio, according to Deadline. Negotiations are underway for Kathryn Erbe to join.
Dick Wolf also received another pilot commitment from USA Network.
In the meantime, "Law & Order: Los Angeles" finalized its cast. The latest names attached to the show are both well-known. Peter Coyote will be joining the cast as the district attorney of Los Angeles, the boss of Alfred Molina and Terrance Howard.
It was also announced that Rachel Ticotin has joined the cast as the new boss of cops Skeet Ulrich and Corey Stoll. She replaces Wanda DeJesus, who was let go for undisclosed reasons. Rumors are that Ticotin is re-filming the scenes that were originally shot with DeJesus.
On the other new cop show of the fall, "Hawaii 5-0" has added pilot guest star Will Yun Lee in a recurring role as villain Sang Min. This is yet another tip of the hat by the current show back to the original series. In the 1968 "Hawaii 5-0" pilot, recurring villain Wo Fat (played by Khigh Dheigh) made his first appearance and reappeared several times throughout the series12 year run. Fat was finally caught by McGarrett in the series finale.
